Infusion Sets

An infusion set is what connects the pump to your body. Insulin is delivered from the cartridge in your pump through this thin tubing to your “infusion site” – which is where the tiny tube is placed just beneath the skin. The infusion set only needs to be changed every 2 to 3 days, but it can be disconnected and reconnected easily.


There are many types of infusion sets, so you can choose the one that best fits your body. The Animas® pump can use virtually any insulin infusion set. Not every pump gives you this flexibility. At Animas, we think having a choice is important.

inset® II Infusion Set

90 Degree Infusion Set (90 degree angle of insertion)
An all-in-one infusion set + insertion device for the ultimate convenience and site security. The introducer needle is removed so only the flexible cannula stays in place. The single-handed insertion1 allows for flexibility in site rotation, and the reversible grippers make it easy to disconnect and reconnect. You'll feel safe knowing you are securely reconnected when you hear the audible "click". Includes a disconnect feature at site and clear window to view site.

 

inset® II is compatible with all insulin pumps featuring a standard Luer-lock connection. Fill volume is 0.3 units for 6mm cannula and 0.5 units for 9mm cannula.

inset® 30 Infusion Set

Angled Infusion Set (30 degree angle of insertion)
The world’s first angled all-in-one infusion set + insertion device in one single sterile unit. The introducer needle is removed so only the flexible cannula stays in place. Providing optimal convenience for the user, the inset® 30 insertion device ensures quick, easy, and virtually painless automatic insertion. The process is easy to learn and the unit is easy to carry around. The 30 degree insertion angle minimizes the risk of the cannula being pulled out by mistake during physical activities, making it ideal for sports.

 

Includes a disconnect feature at site and clear window to view site.

Comfort® and Comfort® Short Infusion Sets

Angled Infusion Set (20-45 degree angle of insertion)
Angled insert adjusts from 20 degrees to 45 degrees. The introducer needle is removed so only the flexible cannula stays in place. Includes a disconnect feature at site and clear window to view site. Manual insertion. Luer-lock tubing connection.

1. Placement and insertion for both inset®II and inset®30 can be done one-handed. When removing the introducer needle, inset®30 requires holding the set in place with the other hand.
